The Restaurant Catering & Events Manager is responsible for driving catering and private event sales while ensuring exceptional execution of events and restaurant operations. This role combines sales, hospitality leadership, operational excellence, and mentorship in support of Café Momentum's mission and Core Values. About the Role This position serves as a key ambassador for the Café Momentum brand, building relationships with guests, donors, corporate partners, and community organizations to grow catering and private-event revenue. In addition to managing catering and events, this role is expected to support restaurant floor operations and regularly work management shifts based on business needs and availability. About Cafe Momentum Café Momentum is a nonprofit restaurant and professional training facility in the heart of Atlanta. The program offers a 12-month paid internship for justice-involved youth. These Interns rotate through all aspects of the restaurant while focusing on developing social and life skills with a comprehensive case management team. Our team works to transform young lives by equipping our community's most marginalized youth with life skills, education and employment opportunities to help them reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities Catering Sales & Client Development Actively drive catering and private event sales through relationship building, networking, outreach, and exceptional guest follow-up. Respond to incoming catering and event inquiries within 24-48 hours. Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, donors, community partners, and repeat guests to increase revenue opportunities. Collaborate with restaurant leadership and marketing teams to support catering promotions, partnerships, and community engagement opportunities. Track sales performance, event revenue, booking trends, and related operational metrics. Support annual and quarterly catering revenue goals and sales strategies. Catering & Event Operations Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of onsite private events and offsite catering functions, ensuring exceptional hospitality and alignment with Café Momentum standards. Manage event logistics, including staffing, timelines, rentals, communication, setup, breakdown, and service execution. Collaborate with culinary and FOH teams to ensure seamless event preparation and execution. Maintain strong organizational systems for event communication, scheduling, and operational follow-through. Restaurant Operations Leadership Serve as a member of the restaurant management team and regularly work on restaurant management floor shifts based on operational needs and availability. Support daily FOH operations, including service execution, guest recovery, coaching, shift leadership, and adherence to service standards. Model hospitality excellence and support a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork. Assist with training and reinforcing Café Momentum service standards and operational expectations. Intern Training & Development Provide hands-on training and mentorship for interns in catering operations, service standards, event execution, and guest engagement. Model professional communication and leadership in fast-paced, guest-facing environments. Partner with program staff and restaurant leadership to support intern growth, development, and progression through the internship program. Team Collaboration & Leadership Work collaboratively with FOH, BOH, and program teams to integrate interns into catering and restaurant operations. Foster a culture of mentorship, hospitality, flexibility, and operational excellence. Support additional operational responsibilities and special projects as assigned by restaurant leadership.

Qualifications Required:
3+ years of experience in catering management, restaurant events, or beverage/wine program management Proven ability to manage multiple events and teams simultaneously Previous experience with Toast, OpenTable and/or other catering management software Strong knowledge of wine and beverage service Passion for working with justice-involved youth Excellent organization, communication, and leadership skills Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed for events.Core Competencies Hospitality-Focused:
