Deerfield Supportive Living Deerfield, Illinois External Sales & Marketing Director Deerfield Supportive Living is excited to announce the opening of our brand-new senior living community in Deerfield, Illinois. We are seeking an experienced, relationship-driven External Sales & Marketing Director to play a key leadership role in building occupancy, developing community partnerships, and establishing Deerfield as the premier supportive living community in the market. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior living sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about helping older adults and their families navigate the transition into senior living. Position Summary The External Sales & Marketing Director will lead community outreach, business development, referral generation, and occupancy growth efforts. This individual will build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, social workers, case managers, rehabilitation providers, hospices, and other referral sources while serving as a trusted resource for prospective residents and families. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, organized, and experienced in senior living sales with a proven ability to drive census growth through both internal and external marketing initiatives. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, social workers, rehabilitation providers, and community partners Execute community outreach and business development strategies to increase awareness and referrals Represent the community at networking events, senior-focused organizations, and professional associations Conduct tours and coordinate the move-in process for new residents and families Manage inquiries, referrals, and lead follow-up activities to maximize occupancy growth Track referral sources, conversion rates, and sales metrics Collaborate with community leadership to achieve census and revenue goals Plan and participate in educational events, presentations, luncheons, and marketing programs Maintain strong knowledge of supportive living services and effectively communicate community benefits to prospective residents and families Support a positive resident and family experience throughout the admission and transition process Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of senior living, assisted living, supportive living, healthcare, or related sales and marketing experience required Proven track record of building referral relationships and growing occupancy Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work independently while collaborating with community leadership Preferred Qualifications Experience working within supportive living, assisted living, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, hospice, or home health settings Established professional relationships within the local healthcare market Knowledge of senior living admissions and resident transition processes What We Offer Competitive base salary Performance-based bonus opportunities Travel reimbursement/stipend Health, dental, and vision benefits Paid time off and holidays 401(k) with company match eligibility Opportunity to join and help shape a brand-new community from the ground up If you are passionate about senior living, enjoy building meaningful relationships, and want to make an impact in a growing organization, we encourage you to apply today
