Job Description

For High Performers Ready to Build Something Bigger Some people are looking for their next job. Others are looking for the opportunity that changes the trajectory of their career. Farmers Insurance District 30 is looking for ambitious, relationship-driven professionals who have demonstrated the ability to lead, sell, influence, compete and deliver results — and who are ready to see how far those abilities can take them. You do not need to come from insurance. In fact, some of the professionals we are most interested in may currently be succeeding in sales, financial services, banking, automotive, hospitality leadership, business development, account management, territory management or another performance-driven career. What we're looking for is harder to teach: Drive. Accountability. Leadership. Resilience. Coachability. And the desire to build something meaningful. If you've spent your career producing results for someone else's business and have started wondering what you could build with the right opportunity, this conversation may be worth having. The Opportunity This is a hands-on insurance sales and professional development opportunity within the Farmers Insurance District 30 network across the heart of Illinois. You'll develop experience in sales, client acquisition, relationship management, insurance and financial services, business development and agency operations while receiving coaching and professional development from experienced insurance leaders. You'll be expected to perform. You'll also have people invested in helping you grow. For high-performing individuals whose long-term goals include entrepreneurship and business ownership, this experience can provide valuable exposure to what it takes to operate and grow an insurance agency. Qualified individuals may have the opportunity to pursue a Farmers agency ownership path in the future, subject to applicable licensing, eligibility, performance and company approval requirements. What You'll Build You'll learn how successful professionals: Create and develop a pipeline of prospective clients Lead meaningful conversations about risk and financial protection Build trust quickly and establish long-term relationships Prospect strategically through referrals, networking, and community involvement Follow up consistently and turn opportunities into clients Develop a personal brand and professional network Manage activity, goals and performance metrics Understand customer retention and relationship development Develop the business acumen required to grow within the insurance industry Most importantly, you'll be challenged to think beyond simply completing tasks. We want you learning how to build. The Person We're Looking For Your résumé matters. Your mindset matters more. We're especially interested in people who can point to moments in their career when they: Won. Led. Built. Improved. Overcame. Took ownership. You may be a strong fit if you are: Competitive and internally motivated Comfortable being measured by results Highly accountable for your own performance Skilled at building relationships and earning trust Confident initiating conversations with new people Coachable enough to receive feedback and driven enough to implement it Resilient when things don't go according to plan Energized by goals rather than intimidated by them Interested in leadership, entrepreneurship or business development Motivated by creating opportunities rather than waiting for them We are not simply searching for someone who can sell insurance. We are looking for someone with the potential to become a business leader. Your Background Might Surprise You Insurance experience can be valuable, but it isn't the only path into this opportunity. If you've built your career around people, performance, leadership or growth, your experience may translate exceptionally well. Development That Goes Beyond Product Training District 30 believes talented people grow faster when expectations are high and coaching is strong. You'll have access to training, coaching, and mentorship designed to develop your capabilities in areas including: Consultative selling Prospecting and business development Client relationship management Insurance products and industry knowledge Goal setting and performance management Professional networking Agency operations Leadership and business development You'll be surrounded by professionals who understand that accountability and support are not opposites. Great coaching should provide both. Why District 30? District 30 is building a culture for people who want to grow — professionally, financially as leaders, and where you build a meaningful career. We believe in high expectations. We believe in coaching. We believe in taking ownership of results. We believe the best teams challenge one another, support one another, and continue raising the standard. We believe ambitious people should have the opportunity to see what they are truly capable of building. You bring the ambition. We'll bring the coaching, development and opportunity to grow.
