Job Description

Job Description BrightStar Care of Northbrook, IL seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to grow our private duty and skilled home care services through strong referral partnerships. This role is ideal for a consultative sales professional who enjoys being face‑to‑face in the field, building trust with healthcare professionals, and closing business that directly improves patient outcomes at home. You will be responsible for expanding both new and existing referral relationships across your designated territory while promoting our full continuum of home care services. This is an in-person, full-time, salaried position with benefits and commissions opportunities. Responsibilities Drive new business growth through cold calling, in‑person sales visits, and networking within your assigned territory Develop and maintain referral relationships with Hospitals and discharge planners, Case managers and social workers, Physicians and clinics and Assisted living and skilled nursing facilities Promote private duty home care and skilled home health services that support patients aging in place Meet or exceed established sales goals and activity benchmarks, including a high volume of weekly face‑to‑face referral visits Manage and expand an active territory database of referral sources and clients Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all sales activity, referrals, and pipeline data within company CRM systems (Zoho, HubSpot) Provide weekly sales summaries and call reports to branch and regional leadership Partner with the Branch Manager, Director of Operations, and Regional Director of Operations to execute effective territory‑based sales and marketing strategies Represent the branch at community events, networking groups, and professional associations Support and manage local digital presence, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and the office website listings Monitor market conditions, referral trends, and competitor activity in the home care space Communicate customer issues promptly and track resolution to ensure client satisfaction Participate in ongoing training to continuously improve sales effectiveness and product knowledge Skills & Qualifications 2+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in home care, home health, hospice, or healthcare services Working knowledge of private duty home care and/or skilled home health referrals preferred Proven success generating leads, managing a territory, and closing business Strong relationship‑building skills with healthcare professionals and community partners Comfortable with cold outreach, in‑person presentations, and public speaking Highly self‑motivated, competitive, and results‑oriented Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Proficiency in CRM systems (like HubSpot) and basic reporting tools
Working Conditions:
Daily travel throughout Cook County Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM CT Start and end the day in the Northbrook branch office Flexibility required for occasional evening or weekend community events
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
