Job Description:
Agency Owner - Leadership & Business Development Lead a Team. Develop People. Drive Results. Farmers Insurance is seeking a motivated, people-focused professional with strong leadership and sales skills to develop and lead a high-performing insurance agency team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coaching others, building relationships, driving sales performance, and creating a strong team culture. You'll work closely with your local Farmers Insurance District team and have access to training, resources, and ongoing support designed to help you succeed. Previous insurance experience is not required. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate strong leadership potential, a results-focused mindset, and the ability to manage the many responsibilities involved in running a successful agency. Key Responsibilities Recruit, develop, coach, and motivate a high-performing sales and service team Establish sales goals and create strategies to achieve them Develop strong relationships with clients and members of the local community Identify new client acquisition and business development strategies Monitor key performance indicators and agency results Implement marketing, networking, and referral strategies Create an accountable, positive, and performance-focused team culture Manage competing priorities and make effective day-to-day business decisions Develop processes that support client retention and long-term agency growth Partner with the local District team for coaching, training, and development Recommended Skills Candidates who succeed in this type of leadership role often demonstrate skills commonly associated with successfully managing a business, including: Leadership and team development Sales management Recruiting and employee development Business development Strategic planning Goal setting and performance management Customer relationship management Networking and community engagement Marketing and lead generation Financial awareness and budgeting Problem-solving and decision-making Time management and organization Strong written and verbal communication Personal accountability and self-motivation Experience in sales leadership, management, operations, recruiting, customer service, or team development may translate particularly well to this role. Licensing Requirements Candidates will be required to obtain the appropriate insurance licenses, including: Property & Casualty Insurance License Life & Health Insurance License Required pre-licensing coursework will be provided FREE of charge. Our team will provide guidance and resources throughout the licensing process to help candidates prepare for the required examinations.
