Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Tuttle Railings Territory Sales Manager will develop relationships with external audiences (architects, owners, contractors, stadium managers, etc.) and internal constituents to generate new business through competitive pricing, accurate planning, and successful turnkey execution.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for obtaining, qualifying, and following up on leads for prospective customers. Present the Dant story and product line to potential clients in the assigned territory with the express purpose of developing and maintaining a continuous business relationship to have them specify our products. Develop working business relationships with the key contractors and suppliers in the assigned territory. Develop a working technical knowledge of all our products, construction process, construction vocabulary, construction governing laws, bid process, and competency in reading blueprints. Ability to communicate this knowledge to architects and owners before and during the sales cycle to enhance the probability of our products being specified. Prepare price quotes, bid documents, and scopes of work to be sent to prospective clients. Interface with other internal departments (Preconstruction, Structural Engineering, Project Management, Sales Administration, etc.) to pull together the required resources to complete a project successfully. Maintain a satisfied customer base for future business opportunities and references. Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
5-7+ years' experience in the construction-related products field. Architectural, Design/Build, commercial, public, institutional, and/or industrial construction sales or business development in the construction-related product field. Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural/Construction Engineering/Architecture or applicable fields required. Will consider relevant combinations of education and experience. Master's Degree, MBA, or Advanced degree preferred. Strong working knowledge of construction "best practices", including contracting procedures, engineering, and general business methods. Prior experience calling on architects, general contractors, sub-contractors, and construction managers. Successful collaboration with internal teams and external customers, as well as the ability to build long-term relationships. Ability to effectively influence all levels of individuals and teams. Ability to clearly communicate project expectations to clients, contractors, and internal customers. Successful adherence to budgets and deadlines Excellent time management and organizational skills Must be able to maintain accurate records and create and present various reports to clients, contractors, and team members. Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel, experience with take-off software a plus. Ability to manage multiple estimates and/or projects concurrently. Strong organizational and time management skills with close attention to detail. High emotional intelligence with respect to problem solving, collaboration, and effectively dealing with customer needs. Strong math, technical writing, and verbal communication skills required. Must have experience with sales and possess strong customer-facing capabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good understanding of the stadium seating design/build process. Must be collaborative with the ability to plan and organize a team effort. Must have excellent overall computer and information technology skills. Customer Service must be oriented with the ability to thrive in a team environment. Good client management and goodwill-building ability. Effective time management and logical decision-making ability. Capacity to handle pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
