Director of Sales & Marketing - Agricultural Technology About IntelliBuoy IntelliBuoy is an IoT + SaaS company delivering real-time liquid level monitoring for agricultural applications, starting with dairy farm manure lagoon management. Our system combines RTK-corrected GNSS measurement, LTE connectivity, and cloud-based analytics to give farms continuous visibility into lagoon levels and volumes — remotely, accurately, and in real time. The product is built and deployed in early field use. We are now moving from development into customer adoption, deployment, support, and scale. We are looking for a Director of Sales & Marketing who can help turn a technically validated product into a trusted agricultural technology brand and a growing customer base. The Role The Director of Sales & Marketing will help establish IntelliBuoy's foundational sales and marketing function as we move from early field deployment into broader customer adoption. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is comfortable selling directly to dairy producers, livestock operations, manure management professionals, and related agricultural service providers while also shaping our brand strategy, marketing materials, trade show presence, messaging, and customer follow-up process. This role requires both practical sales ability and marketing judgment. You will generate leads, build relationships, conduct demos, follow up with prospects, close sales, and help communicate IntelliBuoy's value clearly to the agricultural market. The ideal candidate is proactive, personable, organized, persistent, and excited by the opportunity to play a foundational role in shaping IntelliBuoy's sales process, brand presence, and customer growth. Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Growth Generate, qualify, and follow up with leads in the dairy and agricultural markets Sell IntelliBuoy hardware and software subscriptions to farms and related agricultural customers Conduct phone calls, emails, in-person visits, demos, and trade show follow-up Manage prospects through the sales cycle from initial conversation to closed sale Explain IntelliBuoy's value in practical terms: compliance, risk reduction, labor savings, operational visibility, and peace of mind Build strong relationships with producers, operators, consultants, applicators, and industry partners Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular pipeline updates Marketing & Brand Development Help define IntelliBuoy's brand positioning, messaging, and customer-facing communication Create and improve sales materials, brochures, one-page summaries, email templates, demo materials, and trade show collateral Support website messaging, landing pages, digital content, and product explanations Identify customer pain points, objections, and buying motivations, then turn those insights into stronger sales and marketing materials Help plan and execute trade show strategy, booth messaging, lead capture, and post-show follow-up Work with leadership to refine IntelliBuoy's go-to-market strategy as customer feedback and sales data develop Product Education & Customer Feedback Learn the IntelliBuoy system well enough to confidently explain how it works Conduct product demonstrations in person, over video calls, and at industry events Communicate technical concepts in simple, customer-friendly language Gather customer questions, objections, and feature requests Relay customer feedback to leadership, product, software, hardware, and support teams Help ensure early customers are served well and supported successfully Requirements 4+ years of sales, marketing, business development, or customer-facing growth experience preferred Experience in agricultural sales, equipment sales, SaaS sales, IoT sales, technology sales, B2B field sales, or marketing strongly preferred Ability to generate leads, follow up consistently, and close deals Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts simply Comfortable selling a product that combines physical hardware, software, and an ongoing subscription Comfortable contributing to marketing materials, customer messaging, trade show planning, and brand development Organized, self-motivated, and consistent with follow-through Comfortable using CRM tools, email, phone, spreadsheets, and basic sales reporting systems Willingness to travel for customer visits, farm shows, dealer meetings, and industry events Ability to work on-site in Fremont, IN when not traveling for sales activity Preferred Experience Experience selling to or marketing to dairy farms, livestock producers, agricultural businesses, contractors, applicators, or service providers Familiarity with manure management, lagoon storage, nutrient management, environmental compliance, or farm operations Experience introducing new technology into traditional industries Experience with subscriptions, recurring revenue, or service-based sales Experience with trade shows, digital marketing, lead generation, or marketing collateral development Experience building dealer, referral, or partner relationships Experience helping shape sales process, brand strategy, or go-to-market strategy for a growing company Mindset You may be a strong fit if you: Are excited to play a foundational role in shaping IntelliBuoy's sales process, brand presence, and customer growth Can think strategically about brand and marketing while still doing the hands-on work of selling Communicate clearly and practically Build trust with customers in down-to-earth industries Listen carefully and connect product value to real customer needs Follow up consistently and keep accurate records Are persistent without being pushy Want to help shape an early-stage company with meaningful growth potential Compensation & Details Compensation will be discussed during the interview process and may include a combination of base pay, commission, and/or performance-based incentives depending on experience and fit. This is a full-time role based in Fremont, IN. Candidates must be willing to work on-site when not traveling for sales activities. Regional travel for customer visits, trade shows, and industry events should be expected.
