Job Description

About the role You will own membership revenue growth at Grit Fitness — building the team, running the system, and hitting $100,000 per month in sales by the end of year one.
This is a player-coach role:
you lead from the front on culture and accountability while managing the full sales operation from hiring through close rate. Your direct decisions will determine how fast this gym grows and how strong its team becomes. What you'll deliver Drive the sales team to $100,000 or more in monthly membership revenue by December 31 of year one, measured against your assigned annual quota. Build a roster where 90% or more of your sales reps meet the A Player standard on the role scorecard, and remove chronic underperformers within 90 days of identifying them. Keep voluntary sales team turnover below 20% annually by creating an environment where accountability and support exist in the same room. Design and execute at least 4 local outreach or community engagement campaigns per year, tracking lead volume generated by each one. Improve at least 3 of 5 core KPIs — close rate, lead volume, revenue per rep, ramp time, and retention — quarter over quarter, backed by 4 documented quarterly trainings and a weekly meeting completion rate of 90% or higher. Get every new sales hire to full ramp productivity within 60 days of their start date, with 100% of new hires hitting ramp quota by day 60. Achieve a lead-to-membership close rate of 90% or higher across the sales team by the end of year one. Who you are You hold yourself to a higher standard than you hold your team, and the team knows it because they watch how you work, not just what you say. You have hired people who turned out to be genuinely great, and you have coached average performers into strong ones — you can point to specific examples of both. You set clear expectations, track performance against defined numbers, give credit publicly and direct feedback privately, and do not let accountability conversations pile up until they become exits. You move fast toward revenue targets without running over people — you are persistent and competitive, but the team runs harder with you than away from you. You keep your commitments without needing reminders, and the people who work with you know that if you said it, it will happen. You say what is true even when it costs you something — with candidates, with members, and with leadership — and you expect the same from your team. You produce a lot with what you have, which means you plan deliberately, cut what does not move the number, and protect your team's time from low-leverage work. Why join us Grit Fitness exists to push people past who they thought they were — that mission shapes how we train members and how we build the team around them. We lead by example, hold ourselves to a higher standard, and believe the strongest outcomes come from people who trust and challenge each other. If you want to work somewhere that takes both growth and accountability seriously and backs that up with how it actually operates day to day, this is that place.
