Sales Manager for
The Homewood Suites, Downtown Salina, KS Job Description:
  • We are seeking an experienced, aggressive, professional individual with hands on sales skill. The individual must be capable of meeting and exceeding revenue goals by developing new accounts and growing current hotel accounts.
  • The right individual must have proven, strong corporate and social market skills, and be innovative and creative.
  • Solid knowledge in planning, sales production, administration, account management, budget and marketing plan preparation, forecasting and yield management is required.
  • Prospective candidates will be results oriented and have experience in targeting high revenue potential sales calls to ensure a successful direct sales program. Job Requirements
  • Negotiate business for both transient and group accounts, handle all RFP's & proactively sell all market segments.
  • Prepare and interpret weekly and monthly reports as required.
  • Attend tradeshows and special events.
  • Develop target lists and action plans for account solicitation.
  • Use Sales Forms and database system according to standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate and detail all group and transient business from start of booking to finish and follow up.
  • Monitor room inventory and rate programs; be knowledgeable of occupancy, average rate, and REVPAR goals.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
  • Conduct required amount of sales calls to achieve revenue goals.
  • Create contracts and BEO's for companies and events.
  • Negotiate, plan and execute all room blocks and events for SMERF accounts Knowledge and Skills
  • Represents themselves, and the hotel with the highest level of integrity and professionalism, a service-focused approach, and a caring, sincere attitude at all times.
  • Exhibits a positive and involved team attitude to all hotel departments and maintains open communications with all co-workers for the best overall performance of the hotel. Displays a neat, clean, and business-like appearance at all times.
  • Requires knowledge of general sales techniques.
  • Develop strong internal and customer relationships. Requires highly developed customer service skills.
  • Multitask and follow-up, Set and manage priorities and plan activities in advance.
Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions from clients in timely manner. Eager and quick learner Creative thinker and to assist with social media platform engagement The individual we are looking for will have a minimum of two years, one year experience as a Sales Manager with strong operational experience throughout his/her career and to include a minimum of one year administrative experience.
