Internship Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated Master's student or recent graduate to join the Business & Product Development team within Airbus Defence and Space, supporting key military aircraft platforms such as A330 MRTT, C295 and Airbus Derivatives. This trainee role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of programme management, product strategy, business development, engineering coordination and industrial execution. The candidate will contribute to the monitoring and coordination of strategic activities related to programme performance, development milestones, supplier follow-up, contract status, services readiness and customer-facing deliverables. Main activities The trainee will support the TAMD team in a broad set of business, product development and programme management activities, including: Maintain and update the bidding calendar forC295, A330
MRTT and Airbus Derivatives opportunities, ensuring key milestones, deliverables and decision points are properly tracked. Perform data crunching and structured analysis of past offers for C295 and MRTT, extracting lessons learned, recurring patterns, cost drivers, competitive insights and improvement opportunities for future campaigns. Support the creation of a TAMD Visual Management system, acting as a light PMO-type support to follow up key projects, actions, risks, milestones and priorities across the department. Contribute to the TAM Transformation project, particularly the initiative focused on creating a framework to capture, assess and promote R D projects, helping structure ideas, priorities, business cases and decision material. Prepare and maintain R D dossiers, including project summaries, status updates, value proposition, expected benefits, maturity level, budget assumptions and links with product roadmaps. Support the preparation of internal governance meetings, including action tracking, presentation material, dashboards and follow-up of decisions across Business Development, Product Development, Engineering, Programmes, Services and Finance. Help improve transparency and decision-making by organising information, consolidating inputs from different stakeholders and producing clear executive-level outputs. Contribute to capability roadmap and product policy activities, supporting the identification of future developments, upgrades and competitiveness improvements for C295, MRTT and Airbus Derivatives.
