Job Description
The Internal Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the internal sales team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of electrical products, experience in wholesale or distribution, and proven leadership abilities. Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Management Manage and motivate the internal sales team to achieve sales targets and KPIs. Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, electricians, industrial clients, and retail customers. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of quotations, tenders, and pricing. Handle escalated customer queries, complaints, and account issues professionally. Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across product ranges. Work closely with external sales representatives to support customer growth. Team Leadership Supervise, coach, and train internal sales staff. Monitor staff performance and provide regular feedback and development plans. Schedule workloads and ensure adequate customer support coverage. Promote a high-performance and customer-focused culture. Operational Management Ensure accurate order processing, invoicing, and follow-up. Monitor stock availability and coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams. Assist in managing pricing structures, margins, and discount controls. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis. Business Development Support branch growth initiatives and strategic sales plans. Identify new business opportunities and target markets. Maintain awareness of competitor activity and market trends within the electrical industry. Minimum Requirements Diploma or qualification in Sales, Business Management, or Electrical Engineering (advantageous). 5+ years' experience in electrical wholesale or distribution sales. 2+ years' experience in a supervisory or management role. Strong knowledge of electrical products, components, and industry terminology. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office
