Job Description

Position:
Business Development Manager Status:
Full time, exempt
Department:
Sales Reports to: Vice President of Sales Position summary: Responsible for working with Business Development Representatives to identify and acquire new business opportunities within assigned territory(ies) to meet set appointment goal each month.

Additional responsibilities include training in the onboarding stages for new sales team members. Ongoing training/development and day-to-day support for sales team will also be an important function for the Business Development Manager. A successful Business Development Manager would also have outbound efforts of their own into key accounts.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Functions:
Complete variety of prospecting activities to set appointments for janitorial building surveys and non-janitorial projects, including phone calls, emails, and physical mail. Enter all notes and required information into CRM upon completion of each interaction with prospects. Complete information requirements for all appointments set by preparing appointment work sheet per the standard operating procedure. Collaborate with Sales Executives and Field Sales Leaders to secure quality appointments Participate in debriefing calls with Sales Executives and Sales Leader to analyze Managed Services - Janitorial appointments Participate in debriefing calls with Operations partners to analyze non-janitorial project appointments Attend regular sales meetings, one on one meetings with manager, company meetings and training sessions Conduct regular 1:1s with direct reports Timely completion of required metrics and reports Use strategic prospecting to consistently add accounts into CRM across territories with key information added to each account record Manage the NJS lead process between sales and operations department Oversee the business development process across the sales department Strategically identify and prioritize outreach to Hot 25, driving focused prospecting efforts to secure high-value opportunities. Develop and execute personalized outreach strategies to engage key decision-makers and set qualified appointments within targeted accounts. Leverage research and market insights to craft compelling messaging that resonates with high-priority prospects, increasing appointment conversion rates. Track and report on outreach activities, appointment-setting performance, and progress toward engagement goals for Hot 25 and Top 100 accounts. Continuously monitor, update, and maintain accurate data fields in the CRM for Hot 25 and Top 100 accounts, ensuring data integrity and actionable insights.
