Job Description
Atlantic Sintered is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of custom components in the metal working Industry. We are offering a unique opportunity for a dynamic individual who can lead and inspire the sales team. We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales manager for our 230-employee manufacturing business located in Wrentham, MA. The ideal candidate will have 3-10 years of Technical Sales experience, preferably in the Gear and Power Transmission Industries. Compensation will be based on the level of experience. The primary role of the Sales Manager will be to actively seek profitable opportunities by cultivating new business development through travel, customer visits and industry events. Additional responsibilities include maintaining, growing and servicing our existing customer base.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares new opportunities to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Maintain relationships with key clients, deliver presentations, negotiate and close all business opportunities that best fit the business.
- Develops and maintains sales forecast.
- Proficiency in mathematics and data analysis.
- Assist client engineers with product design and material selection
- Ability to coordinate and work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal & time management skills.
- General understanding of Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Manage multiple projects / relationships from initial contact through design, tooling order and product release
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with engineers and purchasing teams across multiple markets. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or a related field
- 3-10 years of relevant experience
- Experience in sales and business development in the Gear or Power Transmission Industries.
- Candidate will be on site in Wrentham, MA.
- Ability to travel up to 50% or as required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, negotiate and close deals.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written communication skills, capable of producing reports and engaging effectively with other internal teams, management and customers.
