LJB is seeking a high-performing Business Development Executive (BDE) to drive growth within targeted markets, with a primary focus on our safety practice. This is a senior, quota-carrying role for a consultative business development professional who thrives in technically complex environments, builds executive-level relationships, and translates client challenges into measurable business outcomes. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of winning and expanding large enterprise accounts and converting those relationships into multi-million-dollar partnerships.
Salary range:
$100,000 - $130,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

Here What You'll Do Drive Strategic Sales Growth Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities through targeted outreach, networking, and strategic account planning Expand relationships within strategic accounts across business units and stakeholders Consistently meet or exceed revenue and bookings targets Lead a Consultative Sales Process Conduct deep discovery to understand client safety, operational, and financial drivers Position and quantify solutions through risk mitigation, cost reduction, compliance, and ROI impact Partner with internal engineering and safety experts to deliver tailored, high-value solutions Manage Complex Sales Cycles Own the full lifecycle—from prospecting through negotiation and closeNavigate multi-stakeholder environments across operations, EHS, engineering, finance, procurement, and executive leadership Develop and present technically complex proposals with clear commercial narratives Build Pipeline & Market Insight Maintain a high-quality pipeline with accurate forecasting and CRM disciplineDrive deal velocity by creating urgency tied to client risk and opportunity costMonitor market trends and competitor activity to refine positioning What You Bring Bachelor's degree requiredAt least 4+ years of business development or consultative sales experience in a technical or safety-related environmentDemonstrated success selling into large enterprise organizationsStrong consultative selling skills (discovery, solution development, negotiation, closing)Ability to influence diverse stakeholders across business and technical functionsTechnical understanding of safety-related solutions; ability to communicate value beyond productsWorking knowledge of OSHA and ANSI standards preferredExperience with fall protection solutions strongly preferredExcellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skillsProficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft OfficeWillingness to travel up to 40% (overnight) Why Join LJB?
