Position Summary Munro & Associates is looking for a Business Development Manager who knows how to open doors, create opportunities from nothing, close high-value consulting deals, and also cultivate repeat business among a network of partners. This is a net-new business role focused on generating revenue, including developing new business relationships with consulting firms and advisory organizations. The ideal candidate brings 10-20 years of experience selling consulting services, a deep network, and the ability to quickly access and influence senior decision-makers within both enterprise clients and consulting ecosystems. If you are driven by winning, comfortable operating independently, and know how to turn conversations into contracts, this role is built for you. Key Responsibilities New Business Generation (Primary Focus) Aggressively pursue and generate net-new business opportunities, with a strong focus on building relationships and securing work through consulting firms and advisory partners. Leverage your existing network to open doors at the executive level, including within consulting organizations, to create immediate pipeline. Identify, target, and penetrate new accounts across automotive, aerospace, defense, private equity, and related sectors. Drive outbound efforts including direct outreach, networking, and industry engagement to build a consistent flow of qualified opportunities. Sales Execution Own the entire sales cycle from first contact through close. Sell complex, high-value engineering and manufacturing consulting services with a strong consultative approach. Position Munro as a value-add partner to consulting firms, supporting their client engagements. Consistently meet or exceed aggressive revenue targets. Relationship Leverage & Expansion Build and expand relationships within consulting firms and advisory organizations to create repeatable revenue channels. Use your network to accelerate sales cycles and bypass traditional barriers to entry. Develop long-term partnerships that lead to ongoing project opportunities. Internal Collaboration Partner with engineering and leadership teams to develop compelling, results-driven solutions for clients and consulting partners. Provide market feedback to refine positioning, messaging, and service offerings. Contribute to proposals, pricing strategy, and competitive positioning to win deals. Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. 10-20 years of experience in business development, with a strong focus on selling consulting services. Proven track record of opening doors and closing net-new business, particularly within or through consulting firms and advisory organizations. Established network that includes relationships within consulting environments. Demonstrated success selling complex, high-value solutions into enterprise organizations. Strong executive presence, negotiation skills, and ability to influence outcomes. Highly self-motivated, competitive, and results-driven. Willingness to travel as needed.
