Job Description
We are seeking an energetic, strategic, and results-driven Director of Sales to lead revenue-generating efforts for our premier full-service resort and golf course. This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that maximize occupancy, increase group and event business, grow golf-related revenue, and position the resort as a premier destination for leisure and corporate guests. The ideal candidate is a hospitality sales professional with a proven ability to build strong client relationships, lead a successful sales team, and consistently exceed revenue goals. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive room revenue, group bookings, golf outings, tournaments, weddings, meetings, and special events. Lead all sales activities, including prospecting, client acquisition, contract negotiation, and account management. Manage and develop a high-performing sales team through coaching, mentorship, and accountability. Establish and maintain relationships with corporate accounts, associations, travel partners, wedding planners, tournament organizers, and community stakeholders. Collaborate with marketing, operations, golf, and food and beverage teams to maximize revenue opportunities and enhance guest experiences. Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and business opportunities to develop effective sales initiatives. Participate in industry events, trade shows, networking functions, and sales missions. Prepare and manage annual sales plans, budgets, forecasts, and revenue targets. Utilize CRM and reporting tools to track performance, manage pipelines, and drive business development efforts. Work closely with resort leadership to achieve overall financial and operational objectives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 5+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in hospitality, resorts, hotels, golf clubs, or destination properties. Proven success in group, corporate, wedding, and event sales. Strong understanding of hospitality revenue management and market segmentation. Experience managing sales teams and achieving ambitious revenue goals. Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Proficiency with CRM systems and sales reporting tools. Ability to travel as needed for sales calls, industry events, and client meetings. Preferred Experience Resort or destination property sales experience. Golf course, country club, or tournament sales experience. Familiarity with meeting and event planning markets. Experience selling weddings, retreats, and corporate events.
