MN ABOUT THE ROLE
Working as a key member of the Ready Mix Leadership Team, the Sales Manager, Twin Cities Ready Mix Concrete is responsible for developing the market sales strategy and leading, managing, and developing a team of Sales personnel to execute the strategy for the Twin Cities Ready Mix Concrete business, fixed and portable plants. This includes, but is not limited to, the achievement of sustainability and innovation goals, sales and profitability objectives, the development and implementation of a sound marketing strategy to maximize profitability and efficiencies, the recruitment, training, development and management of a professional sales force, the oversight of customer complaint resolutions and the management of the overall sales area administrative system to support the activities of the area sales. In addition, the Sales Manager, Ready Mix Concrete works with his/her peers on the Ready Mix Senior Leadership Team achieve the Safety, Financial, and Business Development goals of the North Central Region Twin Cities Ready Mix Concrete product line.
WHAT YOULL ACCOMPLISH
Work with the Regional Head and General Managers to develop market-specific strategies. Translate strategies into account and call plans. Implement the strategies, account plans, and call plans. Nurture; build customer relationships while preserving the ability to: negotiate effectively with customers, close sales, identify unmet and/or latent customer needs & communicate these within Amrize,maintain acceptable DSO and minimize outstanding past-due balances, broaden; deepen the business relationship with the customer. Work with Business Operations Teams to effectively manage the business; achieve/exceed targets. Manage price/volume relationship to maximize margin.

Lead and manage field personnel, including: setting performance objectives, developing and coaching field personnel, reviewing performance. Embrace; actively drive implementation of more effective sales processes; practices. Champion change and challenge status quo, always asking how can we do it better? Advocate with local/state legislative bodies and regulatory agencies (e.g., DOTs). Take on leadership roles in industry associations. Look for opportunities to cross-sell other Amrize products or services. Track implementation of account and call plans. Forecast demand for effective supply planning for a transportation network.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education:
Bachelors degree or at least 10 years concrete experience
Additional Education Preferred:
Masters degree
Field of Study Preferred:
Civil Engineering, Business, Concrete Technology Required Work Experience:
5 to 10 years, minimum of 5 years of commercial experience required (business development, marketing, sales, channel management, construction materials experience preferred (RMX concrete, aggregates, paving, civil contracting); experience in commission-based structure
Required Training/Certifications:
Sandler sales training and certification preferred.
Required Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft skills; working knowledge in
SAP, Salesforce and Qlikview/Qliksense Additional Requirements:
Good interpersonal skills (e.g., active listening techniques). Strong leadership skills with ability to choose the most effective leadership style for a given situation. Great poise and presence. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to successfully influence others without authority. Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment; PPE, including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
