Lead Growth in the Outdoor Living Industry Are you an Outdoor Living sales leader with strong retail relationships and deep category knowledge? This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organization and play a key role in expanding national retail partnerships within the Outdoor Living space. We are seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Vice President or Director of Sales with experience in patio furniture, umbrellas, and related outdoor categories. This role offers the opportunity to influence sales strategy, build retailer partnerships, and drive long-term business growth. Position Overview The Vice President of Director of Sales will lead business development and retail growth initiatives with an immediate focus on patio umbrellas and broader Outdoor Living products. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for growing strategic retail partnerships, expanding market presence, and serving as a trusted industry expert within the Outdoor Living category. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Drive sales growth and develop strategic retail partnerships Identify and secure new business opportunities Lead retailer meetings, presentations, and line review discussions Manage and grow key customer relationships Category & Market Expertise Outdoor fabrics and materials Product positioning and pricing Market trends and competitive landscape Support retailer conversations regarding: Material durability and construction Fabric technologies Product features and pricing tiers Manufacturing and sourcing capabilities Strategic Collaboration Partner with internal teams to support sales strategy and retailer presentations Assist with technical discussions and category-based selling support Provide market insights and recommendations to support growth initiatives Qualifications Experience 5-10+ years of Outdoor Living industry experience Senior-level sales or business development leadership experience Proven success selling Outdoor Living products, including patio furniture and/or umbrellas Experience working with major U.S. retailers preferred Industry Knowledge Strong understanding of: Outdoor Living category and seasonal programs Retail buyer expectations and line review process Outdoor product materials and construction Retail sales strategy and account development Professional Skills Strong presentation and communication abilities Executive-level relationship-building skills Ability to influence and partner with retail buyers and leadership teams Ideal Background Strong candidates may come from: Outdoor furniture or patio product manufacturers Outdoor Living brands or suppliers Vendor-side sales organizations supporting major retailers Former retailer merchants or category managers with Outdoor Living expertise Why Consider This Opportunity?
