The Hotel Director of Sales is responsible for leading the sales team to achieve revenue targets, developing strategic sales plans, and fostering strong relationships with clients. This role requires a dynamic and results-driven individual with a deep understanding of the hospitality industry and exceptional leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development:
Create and implement effective sales strategies to maximize revenue and market share.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team goals.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, travel agents, corporate accounts, and other stakeholders.
Market Analysis:
Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
Revenue Management:
Collaborate with the revenue management team to optimize pricing and inventory strategies.
Sales Reporting:
Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, highlighting performance metrics and areas for improvement.
Event Coordination:
Oversee the planning and execution of sales events, trade shows, and promotional activities.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage the sales department budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Training and Development:
Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills and performance.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth. Ability to analyze market trends and develop effective sales strategies. Proficiency in sales and CRM software.
