Job Description

Advanced Material Solutions was founded in Missoula, MT in 2018 and serves the semiconductor, photovoltaic and battery industries with custom technology solutions for silicon materials. We have developed and acquired core technology for the manufacturing of high purity silicon materials. We also have a joint venture, SemiLink Materials, a global, high-growth manufacturer and distributor of high-purity chemicals serving the semiconductor industry, located in Stevensville, Montana. We are seeking a motivated and technically capable Sales Associate to drive growth in our chemical delivery and filling systems business, serving semiconductor and solar cell manufacturing customers within North America and potentially the EU. This role combines direct sales, bid management, market intelligence, and business line development. The ideal candidate will not only execute sales but also contribute to shaping our competitive positioning, product strategy, and go-to-market approach. The Role Identify, develop, and close new sales opportunities within semiconductor fabs and solar manufacturing facilities Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, procurement teams, general contractors, and EPC firms Understand customer process requirements and recommend appropriate chemical delivery system solutions Conduct product presentations, technical discussions, and on-site visits Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, quoting, negotiating, and closing deals Track sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts Manage and support the bid submittal process, particularly with general contractors and EPC companies Navigate complex and often extended bid cycles, ensuring timely and accurate proposal development Coordinate with internal teams to align technical specifications, pricing, and delivery timelines Improve efficiency and success rates within the bid process Monitor industry trends, customer investments, and emerging technologies in semiconductor and solar manufacturing Identify key competitors and analyze their products, pricing, and value propositions Gather and communicate customer feedback, market insights, and competitive intelligence to internal stakeholders Support development of sales strategies based on market conditions and competitive dynamics Assist in the development and enhancement of promotional materials, including brochures, website content, and technical collateral Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events Strengthen brand visibility and ensure consistent messaging across all customer-facing platforms
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 1-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or technical roles (B2B or industrial preferred) Interest or experience in semiconductor, solar, industrial gas, or chemical systems industries is strongly preferred Strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
