Job Description
Are you a visionary sales leader with a proven track record of driving significant revenue growth in the sports industry? The Fayetteville Marksmen are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Vice President of Ticket Sales to lead our comprehensive ticket sales efforts and elevate our fan experience. This pivotal role will be instrumental in shaping our sales strategy, building a high-performing team, and fostering deep connections within our community.
Position Overview:
The Vice President of Ticket Sales will be responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and execution of all ticket sales initiatives, including season tickets, group sales, corporate ticket programs, and single-game tickets. This executive-level position will lead, mentor, and manage the entire ticket sales department, ensuring the achievement of ambitious revenue targets and enhancing the overall fan base engagement for the Fayetteville Marksmen.Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive, data-driven sales strategies across all ticket inventory categories (season, group, corporate, single-game) to maximize revenue and attendance. Lead, recruit, train, and manage a high-performing ticket sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and success. Establish clear sales targets, monitor performance metrics, and provide regular reporting and strategic insights to senior leadership. Oversee the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and prospecting to contract negotiation and client retention, ensuring exceptional customer service. Identify new market opportunities and develop innovative sales programs and promotions to attract and retain a diverse fan base. Collaborate closely with Marketing, Corporate Partnerships, and Game Operations teams to create integrated campaigns and unique fan experiences. Manage the departmental budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and strong return on investment. Build and maintain strong relationships with key community stakeholders, corporate partners, and high-value clients. Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making. Represent the Fayetteville Marksmen at community events, league meetings, and industry conferences.Essential Skills, Experience & Abilities:
Minimum of 3-5+ years of progressive experience in ticket sales within the sports or entertainment industry, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or management role. Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies that have consistently exceeded revenue goals. Proven ability to recruit, develop, motivate, and manage a high-performing sales team. Exceptional strategic thinking, business acumen, and analytical skills with a strong understanding of sales metrics and forecasting. Superior communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during the hockey season and for key events.
