Job Description

Summary:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, growing sales, and promoting the company's hardwood products to domestic and/or international buyers. This position is key to determining production scheduling and decisions. This role requires strong knowledge of lumber species, grades, and markets, along with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate cut plans with Green and Dry operations Develop and manage sales of lumber to existing and new customers. Manage Lumber Inventory to boost sales and Profitability Build strong relationships with lumber distributors, wholesalers, and manufacturers. Identify new markets, customers, and growth opportunities. Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules. Collaborate with production, logistics, and yard teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform pricing and strategy. Attend trade shows, customer visits, and industry events as needed. Prepare sales reports and forecasts for management. Collaborate with other Production and Sales Manager •
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in hardwood lumber sales, with international sales experience strongly preferred. Solid understanding of NHLA grading and U.S. hardwood species. Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals. Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple accounts. Proficient with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools. Willingness to travel as needed to maintain customer relationships. •
