Job Description

Director of Sales Job Overview The Director of Sales will drive revenue generation by leading both corporate sponsorship acquisition and ticket sales efforts. This role requires an aggressive, results-driven leader who will not only manage corporate accounts and ticket inventory but also instill a culture of high performance and strict accountability across the sales team. The Director ensures all personnel meet or exceed annual quotas while maintaining the highest standards of execution. Core Responsibilities 1.
Revenue Generation & Strategic Sales Sponsorship Acquisition:
Actively prospect, pitch, and close high-value corporate sponsorships, ballpark activations, and more.
Ticket Sales Strategy:
Develop and execute aggressive sales and marketing campaigns targeting corporate season tickets, group outings, and premium hospitality areas.
Pipeline Management:
Build, deploy, and monitor robust lead-generation campaigns to ensure a continuous pipeline of corporate and group ticket prospects. 2.
Team Performance & Strict Accountability Quota Enforcement:
Set clear daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs (call volume, pipeline growth, revenue closed) for the sales team and seasonal interns.
Performance Monitoring:
Maintain and audit daily call logs, CRM data, and pipeline health to ensure total transparency and activity compliance.
Coaching & Course Correction:
Lead intensive weekly sales meetings to review targets, address performance gaps, coach on new sales strategies, and implement immediate corrective action plans for underperforming team members.
Inventory Management:
Oversee and track all ticket and sponsorship inventory, providing granular weekly revenue reports to executive leadership. 3.
Game Day & Community Execution Client Retention:
Deliver top-tier service and execution to ensure high renewal rates for existing corporate sponsors and season ticket holders.
Ballpark Operations:
Work all home games and major ballpark events, managing on-site fulfillment of sponsorship assets and premium ticket group experiences.
Community Representation:
Act as a face of the organization at networking and community events to generate raw leads and cultivate B2B partnerships.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proven Track Record:
Proven sales experience required, with a preferred emphasis on B2B corporate sponsorships and sports ticket sales, although sports specific sales expereince in not required.
Accountability-Driven Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and hold a sales team accountable to strict metrics and revenue goals.
Communication Mastery:
Exceptional written, verbal, and pitch-presentation skills tailored for corporate decision-makers.
High Velocity:
Ability to thrive, prioritize, and maintain strategic focus in a fast-paced, high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
Flexibility:
Ability to work non-traditional hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays as dictated by the game and event schedule.
