Event Sales & Catering Director Hart's Turkey Farm Restaurant is a third-generation, family-owned restaurant and catering company located in the heart of New Hampshire's beautiful Lakes Region. For generations, we've built our reputation on exceptional food, genuine hospitality, and memorable events. As our catering business continues to grow, we're looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Event Sales & Catering Director to lead our catering department and help shape its future. This is a full-time, year-round leadership position offering a competitive salary (based on experience), commission opportunities, and employee benefits are available. About the Role We're seeking a motivated, hospitality-driven professional with experience in catering sales, event planning, and team leadership. This is a dynamic, hands-on position that combines sales, client relationship management, event coordination, operations, and leadership. From the first client inquiry to the final guest departure, you'll oversee every stage of the catering experience while working closely with our culinary team, service staff, and senior leadership to deliver exceptional events and continue growing our catering business. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, and leads by example. What You'll Do Build lasting relationships with prospective and existing clients. Guide clients through menu planning, event logistics, and every detail of their event experience. Oversee all catering operations from initial inquiry through successful event execution. Coordinate and supervise both on-site and off-site catered events. Lead, support, and occasionally work alongside our catering service team during events. Coordinate event staffing and assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members. Prepare event paperwork and communicate event details with office staff, culinary teams, service staff, and clients. Collaborate with management on menu development, pricing, and operational improvements. Partner with our marketing team to promote catering services through social media, community involvement, and special events. Represent Hart's at bridal shows, networking events, community organizations, and corporate outreach opportunities to generate new business. Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of holiday operations. Work collaboratively with all departments to ensure seamless operations and outstanding guest service, during holidays, special events, and other high-volume periods. Continuously identify opportunities to grow catering revenue while maintaining exceptional service standards. Qualifications Previous experience in catering sales, event planning, hospitality management, or a similar leadership role preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail. Outstanding customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal. Comfortable working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude. Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to off-site events. Comfortable driving company catering vehicles for deliveries or events when needed. Ability to assist with room setup, including tables, chairs, and event layouts. Schedule & Availability Full-time, year-round position. Weekend availability is required. Peak event season runs May through October , when additional hours may be required to support business demand. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience.
