Job Description

A Taste of What You'll Do Step into a leadership role where you'll shape the success of a high-performing sales team and drive meaningful results across a dynamic retail landscape. As a District Sales Manager, you'll lead a team of 5-8 sales representatives and merchandisers, guiding execution across 150-300 accounts that generate significant revenue for the business. You'll play a critical role in translating strategy into action—coaching your team, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring our brands stand out in every account. In this role, you'll bring energy and accountability to every interaction—whether leading weekly team meetings, mentoring developing talent, or partnering with key retail customers. You'll leverage your industry knowledge to influence buying decisions, optimize in-store execution, and deliver against ambitious sales goals. Your leadership will directly impact team performance, from onboarding new hires to developing future leaders within the organization. What You'll Need High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 5 years of professional sales experience to include at least one year of Gallo wholesaler or affiliated or non-affiliated distributor experience that includes a holiday season reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 1 year of professional sales experience with a Gallo wholesaler or affiliated or non-affiliated distributor that includes a holiday season reflecting increasing levels of responsibility. 21 years of age or older. Required to obtain a solicitor's permit as required by state/locality. Required to travel by automobile to perform job duties. Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire. Required to lift or move 45 - 57 pound cases of product. Required to work weekends for special functions/events when needed. Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description. Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description. How You'll Stand Out Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of wine sales experience to include at least one year of affiliated distributor experience that includes a holiday season; OR Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of retail and on-premise district manager experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility. Knowledgeable in Gallo sales/merchandising standards, policies, and selling skills. Demonstrated Leadership aptitude and skill. Completion of Fine Wine Training I certification; CSS and/or CSW certifications; strong communication, problem-solving, time management, organization, and teamwork skills.
