$60,000/year + $24,000 yearly in commissions paid monthly. Up to $84,000 yearly
ABOUT WAKU
Waku is the new generation of tea! We're bringing pop and fun to the traditional ready-to-drink category, same sweet, fruity taste, but with only 3-4 grams of sugar, 25-30 calories, and 5g of prebiotic fiber to maximize gut-healthy benefits. And we're just getting started.
THE ROLE
We're looking for a driven, high-energy Area Sales manager to take the lead on retail execution and growth across NJ & PA the following counties are preferred: Monmouth, Middlesex, Somerset, Morris. You'll be in charge of getting Waku stocked, looking great, and flying off the shelves, all while building meaningful relationships with stores and distributors. You'll focus on high-impact areas, collaborate with our distribution and broker partners, and push to hit our revenue goals. This means opening new doors, leveling up key accounts, and making sure Waku is everywhere people shop. This role is perfect for someone who's a natural hustler, thrives on hitting goals, and brings a positive vibe to every interaction. WHAT YOU'LL DO
Build strong relationships with distributor sales team, retail leadership and staff Own and grow a key account list - you're the face of Waku in the field Hit monthly volume, display, and distribution goals Secure new placements, cooler space, and secondary displays Collaborate with distributors, store teams to keep momentum strong Visit stores weekly, track performance, and share back insights - 5 days/ week in the field (this is a driving role) Plan and execute in-store demos (coordinating with our brand ambassador team) and field marketing activations Maintain inventory visibility and manage POS materials Log all visits and outcomes in field sales app Travel to support nearby markets during key periods and as needed
WHO YOU ARE
1+ year of beverage sales experience (non-alcoholic preferred but not required) People person with strong communication and persuasion skills Obsessed with details, results, and constant improvement Agile, resourceful, and not afraid of ambiguity Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment Organized in reporting and tracking results Someone who's looking to grow with a thriving better-for-you beverage brand Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and work weekends when needed
PERKS & DETAILS
Base Salary:
$60,000/year
Comissions:
up to $24,000 Up to $84,000 yearly Car allowance: We use the 2026 New Jersey Standard Mileage Rate of $0.725 per mile . All miles must be recorded in field sales app.
