Job Description

Job Overview The Finance & Insurance (F&I) Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of vehicle financing, lender relations, compliance, aftermarket product sales, and deal funding for luxury, exotic, and high-line vehicle transactions. The role supports both duPont REGISTRY's own retail operations and its F&I-as-a-service offering for partner dealerships, serving as the finance expert across multiple rooftops and ensuring clients receive tailored financing and protection solutions while delivering a seamless, concierge-level experience. In addition to managing all finance and insurance operations, the F&I Manager serves as a key trainer and business partner to the sales team, helping develop finance knowledge, improve product penetration, and enhance the overall customer experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance & Deal Structuring
  • Manage the complete finance and insurance process for all retail vehicle transactions.
  • Review credit applications and financial profiles to identify optimal financing solutions.
  • Structure finance and lease transactions that align with customer needs while maximizing dealership profitability.
  • Secure approvals from banks, credit unions, captive finance companies, and specialty lenders.
  • Present financing options and payment scenarios clearly and professionally.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with lender representatives and finance partners.
  • Stay current on manufacturer-sponsored finance programs, incentive programs, and lease offerings.
  • Respond to and follow up on inbound finance leads from the company website and other digital sources, maintaining a timely follow-up cadence and nurturing prospects from initial inquiry through funded deal.
  • Work with budget-conscious customers to identify an attainable vehicle based on their target payment and financial profile, structuring deals from the customer's budget rather than a pre-selected vehicle.
  • Assemble and submit complete funding packages, clear lender stipulations, manage contracts-in-transit, and resolve chargebacks to ensure prompt, clean deal funding. F&I Product Sales
  • Present and sell finance and insurance products using a transparent and consultative approach.
  • Offer vehicle service contracts, extended warranties, GAP coverage, tire and wheel protection, appearance protection, maintenance plans, and other approved aftermarket products.
  • Utilize a menu-based selling process to ensure consistency, compliance, and customer understanding.
  • Achieve established product penetration and profitability objectives while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction. Sales Team Training & Development
  • Serve as the dealership's subject matter expert on finance products, lender programs, compliance requirements, and deal structuring.
  • Train and coach sales consultants on finance fundamentals, payment presentations, credit qualification, lease versus retail financing options, and customer handoff best practices.
  • Educate sales staff on available protection products and ancillary offerings to improve customer awareness and product penetration.
  • Monitor and provide feedback on sales-to-finance transition processes. Dealer Partner Support (F&I as a Service)
  • Deliver outsourced F&I services to partner dealerships, representing duPont REGISTRY's process and standards to each dealer's customers under the terms of the applicable dealer agreement.
  • Serve as the primary finance point of contact for assigned dealer accounts, coordinating across multiple rooftops and adapting to each partner's workflow, product menu, and lender preferences.
  • Build and maintain dealer relationships, supporting account retention and identifying opportunities to expand the F&I service offering. Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure all transactions comply with applicable federal and state requirements, including ECOA/Regulation B adverse action notices, the Truth in Lending Act, FCRA (including firm-offer and prescreening rules), OFAC, the Red Flags Rule, and the Safeguards Rule.
  • Present products and payments accurately and avoid payment packing, misleading "pre-qualification" language, and other UDAAP and fair-lending exposure, including in dealer-markup contexts.
  • Maintain complete, accurate deal documentation and adhere to duPont REGISTRY's and partner-dealer's compliance policies across all jurisdictions served. Luxury Client Experience
  • Deliver a premium, concierge-level experience for luxury and exotic vehicle clients.
  • Build trust and credibility through professionalism, discretion, and expert financial guidance.
  • Manage high-value transactions with attention to detail and urgency.
  • Support the dealership's commitment to creating a seamless and memorable ownership experience. Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years of automotive Finance & Insurance experience.
  • Experience in luxury, exotic, or high-line automotive sales
  • Proven record of finance profitability and product sales performance.
  • Comprehensive understanding of automotive finance regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of lender platforms (e.g., RouteOne, Dealertrack, Westlake, etc.) and finance compliance requirements
  • Comfort working across multiple dealership accounts and jurisdictions, including handling inbound web leads and structuring deals remotely.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
