Job Description

As our Group Sales Manager/Coordinator, you'll build client relationships, secure new business opportunities, and collaborate with an exceptional team to deliver seamless events that exceed expectations. The Group Sales Manager/Coordinator is responsible for proactively soliciting and managing all revenue-related group opportunities Achieves personal and team related revenue goals for hotel. Individual must utilize available resources to ensure accurate forecasting and communication. Requires knowledge of, and adherence to, hotel's policies and procedures and all Sales policies, systems and procedures. Work hours/days vary as directed by the business needs and can include weekends and Holidays.
Job Duties:
- Works closely with all departments to ensure professional execution of group room blocks Answers calls, qualify client needs and Closes the best opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions and hotel's needs.
- Prepares and distributes Group Resumes for all Market Segments
- Established and maintains accurate files, activities and trace system for the hotel Targets key accounts, markets, or segments with heavy emphasis on proactive solicitation and account saturation.
Experience:
- Two year's hotel sales experience or any combination of similar education and experience
- Prior Marriott experience preferred
Language Skills:
Read, write and speak English fluently. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests and vendors. Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.Technical Skills:
Computer skills, including spreadsheets, word processing and email.Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, report or schedule form.Other Skills & Abilities:
Experience in meeting deadlines and multiple priorities of business demands as required. Possess basic knowledge of business contracts. Able to work with general supervision.
