  • always inspiring more… About the role Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Strategic New Business Development Manager to lead the charge in identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities for flavors & ingredient systems within the food & beverage industry.
This role is built for a true hunter—someone who thrives on uncovering opportunities, building pipelines from scratch, and turning prospects into long-term partners. This individual will play a critical role in expanding market presence, driving revenue growth, and strengthening our position across key food & beverage segments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities New Business Development Proactively identify, target, and secure new customers across food & beverage markets. Build and manage a robust pipeline of high-value prospects. Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing. Market Intelligence & Strategy Analyze market data, trends, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities. Develop and execute strategic plans to penetrate new segments and expand market share. Translate insights into actionable sales strategies. Customer Engagement Establish and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers. Deliver compelling value propositions tailored to customer needs. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful onboarding and long-term growth. Industry Presence Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings. Leverage events as a platform for lead generation and brand visibility. Travel as needed to support business development efforts. Performance Ownership Consistently meet or exceed new business targets and revenue goals. Track, report, and optimize sales activities and pipeline performance. About You Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or related field. 3+ years of experience in new business development and/or sales within the food & beverage industry. Experience with food service, private label, co-manufacturing, and/or food and beverage start-ups is strongly preferred and will be prioritized. Strong understanding of food & beverage markets, flavors and seasonings, trends, and customer dynamics. Proven track record of generating and closing new business. Ability to analyze data and translate insights into strategic action. Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills are essential. Must be coachable and have an entrepreneurial drive for this role. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
