Job Description

Description We are looking for a proactive Fundraising Officer to support growth initiatives and build strong donor and partner relationships in Brooklyn, New York. This is a Contract position suited for someone who can identify new opportunities, communicate persuasively, and help expand fundraising efforts through strategic outreach. The ideal candidate brings at least 2 years of relevant experience and a practical approach to business development in a mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new fundraising and partnership prospects to strengthen revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and external stakeholders through consistent and thoughtful outreach.
  • Conduct cold calling and targeted prospect engagement to expand the pipeline of potential supporters and partners.
  • Evaluate business opportunities and recommend approaches that align with fundraising goals and organizational priorities.
  • Use iDeals and related tools to organize prospect information, track activity, and support follow-up efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop outreach strategies, prepare proposals, and support fundraising campaigns.
  • Monitor market and sector activity to uncover trends, competitive insights, and new avenues for development. Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in fundraising, business development, or a closely related role.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate leads and convert outreach efforts into viable business or fundraising opportunities.
  • Experience using iDeals or similar platforms to manage prospect data and track engagement activity.
  • Strong cold calling and direct outreach skills with confidence in initiating conversations with new contacts.
  • Solid understanding of business development practices, including pipeline building and opportunity assessment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a Contract role environment.
