Position Title Assistant/Associate Director of Athletics for Corporate Sales and Strategic Partnerships Position Number 896674 Position Category Administration School/Division Athletic Marketing and Promotions (division) Department Full-Time or Part-Time Full-Time Description Reporting to the Deputy Athletic Director and Chief Revenue Officer, the Assistant / Associate Director of Athletics for Corporate Sales and Strategic Partnerships is a senior member of the Athletic Department's external relations team. This position is responsible for generating revenue through corporate sponsorships and strategic partnerships. Candidates must be willing and able to organize and handle all aspects of administration and adhere to the rules and regulations of Hofstra University, Hofstra Athletics, the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA), and the NCAA. This position requires working weekends and holidays and attending athletic events as appropriate. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Solicitation and sale of corporate sponsorships for the athletics department. This includes weekly meeting/visit goals, monthly solicitation goals and an ambitious yearly revenue goal in new corporate partnerships. Develop and update all sales material and pitch decks as needed for solicitation of new partners. Works with Associate AD for Marketing/Strategic Partnerships to identify corporate sponsorship inventory available to the corporate community. Responsible for the execution of sponsorship contracts and the tracking of invoices and payments. Fulfillment of all sponsorship contracts including digital, in-game and event-based activations. Work collectively with appropriate departments including athletic facilities and marketing regarding arena signage, in-game sponsorship activations, and corporate entertainment. Stewardship, cultivation, and entertainment of corporate partners. Coordinates with the ticket office on the distribution of tickets to corporate sponsors. Coordinates with the University's Athletic Communications Office to ensure that all sponsors are appropriate to the Hofstra Style Guide and properly represents the University. Knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations. Other duties as assigned by the Deputy Director of Athletics and Vice President for Athletics. This position requires working weekends and holidays and attending athletic events when appropriate. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant experience. Proven track record of sales. Advanced negotiating skills, ability to identify and influence key decision makers Strong competitive spirit - desire to win the business through hard work and determination. Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills Driven to succeed and proven ability to navigate obstacles. Ability to adapt your style/messaging to the needs of the client. Valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree 5-6 years of revenue generation experience preferably in college athletics. Experience in sponsorship sales, marketing and/or ticket sales. Graphic design experience. Salary/Salary Range $70,000 -$80,000 Additional Information Hofstra University provides the above salary• as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education. In addition to the salary offered, we offer a collegial and inclusive culture, and a benefits program which includes generous paid time off, paid holidays, tuition remission for employees and eligible dependents, and a retirement plan with University contributions. Salary ranges indicated for positions covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement are in accordance with the CBA.
