Business Development Director The Woodlands, TX; Tonawanda, NY, United States | req29037 What you will enjoy doing• Lead a portfolio of large, complex projects for Linde Gases US, reporting to the Executive Director - Project Development
Collaborate with regional businesses to scope winning solutions for industrial gas projects, including Oxygen, Nitrogen,
Carbon Dioxide, electronics, merchant expansions, Hydrogen supply or recovery, and small on-site systems
Serve as subject matter expert with customers on industrial gas opportunities
Drive techno-commercial solution development with engineering and business teams to identify the most competitive options for customers and Linde
Develop strong expertise in Linde Gas solutions and engineering portfolio to support business development with rapid, quality cost comparisons
Challenge and collaborate with Linde Engineering on scoping and capital cost buildups to ensure competitiveness
Work closely with regional operations director and Project Operations Lead to align project scope
Review risk analyses and recommend management reserves and business contingencies
Participate in or lead project economic analyses in coordination with regional teams
Engage in customer contract development to ensure alignment of investments, project economics, and commitments
Establish regular update schedules with regional business teams
Lead discussions with third-party customers or site hosts during project development alongside regional business leaders
Build collaborative relationships with engineering and execution teams to deliver winning solutions and provide business region feedback to Engineering
Demonstrate proficiency in complex project economic analysis to support investment and plant selection decisions
Represent projects at Linde Gases US and internal capital expenditure reviews, presenting and supporting as needed What makes you great Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering; MBA is a plus
Bring a minimum of ten years of relevant work experience
Demonstrate high-level technical skills and commercial acumen, comfortable engaging with senior management on technical and commercial matters
Lead development of complex investments with multi-functional teams
Possess experience working with customers in project development and execution contexts
Have knowledge of air separation, HyCO, and related customer processes
Confidently present to and interact with executive-level leadership
Apply strong problem-solving and analytical skills while collaborating effectively with teams to deliver optimal solutions
Influence positively and build strategic relationships internally and externally
Lead and motivate teams through natural authority and strong leadership presence
