Overview The AVP - Business Development will be responsible for developing and facilitating the property Single Parent and Cell opportunities. The AVP must have a thorough understanding of the property insurance landscape and marketplace , including carriers , prices, trends, coverage forms and coverage design. They must also have strong negotiation skills and be able to effectively communicate with brokers and clients . This position will require an extensive background in structuring and marketing large layered, and quota share property programs for varied industries. How you'll make an impact Provide expertise in alternative risk products to broker partners and both mid-market and large accounts. Identify client nee ds and develop custom solutions. Client-facing with a track record of working effectively with decision-makers within clients. Establish and develop emerging relationships with economic buyers of varying complexity . Provide technical competency to create innovative solutions. Establish credibility (knowledge/trust) both externally as well as internally. Possess senior executive client communication and negotiation skills (oral and written) C ommunicate market/industry perspectives and applications to specific client situations. Communicate and capture the value that Artex brings to client s . Demonstrate new business production abilities as well as a seasoned new business production history. Ability to generate $500,000 or greater in new business revenue. About You Bachelor's degree and 7 years related experience required. 3+ years of property program design and placement experience. Extensive knowledge and in-depth understanding of the insurance industry and our products and services. Experience within the insurance industry is required .
