Langhorne, PA Position SummaryThe Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic customer relationships, and leading the sales function within a corrugated box manufacturing environment. This role focuses on expanding market share, managing key accounts, and aligning customer needs with plant production capabilities. CompensationThe actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At ND Paper, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate. Demonstrate safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively leading the safe execution of work. Establish, implement and lead the business sales and marketing strategy. Collaborate with the general manager and other lead team members to ensure the sales strategy aligns with business capabilities.Develop sales teams ability to make the technical sale. In conjunction with the general manager, develop and implement sales and customer retention and development strategies. Execute sales and marketing plan for profitable, sustainable growth.
Recruit, develop and lead sales talent ensuring sales targets are consistently met.
Direct channel development activity and coordinate sales distribution by establishing expectations for the sales team for territories, sales quotas, sales growth and profitability. Collaborate with the general manager and client solutions manager to ensure coordination of and timely response to RFPs and RFIs.
Monitor and report on customer satisfaction and remedy any deficiencies through collaboration with the management team.
Develop sales budgets, identifying segments, customers, footage, revenue and profitably. Ensure effective communication for business development activities and onboarding new customers. Conduct effective routine sales meetings and sales development for the sales team.
Develop and maintains sales reports.
Develop, communicate, maintain and adapt sales and marketing strategic plan.
Make sound financial decisions considering implications to both sales growth and profitability. Plan and forecast sales volume. Represent the business at trade shows, associations and other external events. Perform analysis to identify and improve items and business segments generating poor financial results. Routinely meet and maintain relationships with top customers and assist sales team with customer meetings, negotiating and closing business. Deliver sales presentations to prospects and customers. Monitor and report to the management team the competitive environment. Prepare sales reports, indicating sales volume, possible prospects and markets and areas to gain share with current customers.
Monitor T&E expenses for self and team; ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures. Previous corrugated selling experience.5 to 10 years in a leadership position. Bachelors degree required. Technical SkillsAbility to use IT systems, including Microsoft Office, human capital management systems, manufacturing systems and SAP.Core Competencies Proven ability to develop and convert sales opportunities. Demonstrated ability to direct and mentor sales team to achieve sales expectations.
Possesses the ability and desire to personally make the sale and retain the customer. Relationship leader with business acumen. Develop, understand and effectively communicate the businesses value proposition.
Demonstrated capability to make the technical sale.
