This role focuses on selling custom manufacturing solutions, including bulk powder blends, encapsulated products (bottles and sachets), and pre-formed gusseted powder bags to dietary supplement brands, distributors, retailers, and private-label companies. The ideal candidate has experience in contract manufacturing, dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, food ingredients, or related industries and possesses strong consultative selling skills, technical product knowledge, and the ability to manage complex sales cycles. Key Responsibilities Business Development Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities within the dietary supplement, wellness, sports nutrition, and functional food markets. Generate qualified leads through networking, industry events, trade shows, referrals, digital outreach, and cold prospecting. Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to achieve and exceed revenue targets. Develop strategic account plans for high-value prospects and customers. Customer Consultation & Solution Selling Consult with customers to understand product concepts, formulation requirements, packaging needs, and commercialization timelines.
Recommend manufacturing solutions including:
Bulk powder blends Encapsulated products in bottles Single-dose and multi-dose sachets Pre-formed gusseted powder bags Private label and custom formulation services Coordinate with R D, Quality, Operations, and Customer Service teams to deliver customer-specific solutions. Quotation & Contract Management Prepare and present pricing proposals, quotations, and manufacturing agreements. Negotiate commercial terms while maintaining company profitability objectives. Manage the sales process from initial inquiry through project launch and ongoing account growth. Monitor project timelines and ensure successful product commercialization. Account Management Develop long-term relationships with customers and key decision-makers. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling manufacturing services. Conduct regular business reviews with customers to ensure satisfaction and account growth. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts. Market Intelligence Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, ingredient innovations, and regulatory developments. Provide market feedback to management regarding customer needs and emerging opportunities. Assist in developing sales strategies and marketing initiatives. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum 3-5 years of B2B sales experience. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Experience selling dietary supplement, nutraceutical, food ingredient, pharmaceutical, or contract manufacturing services. Knowledge of dietary supplement manufacturing processes, packaging formats, and regulatory requirements. Existing network within the supplement industry. Experience with private-label and custom-manufacturing sales.
