Base + Uncapped Commission About the Role Banks Group is an established environmental data and research firm serving the oil and gas, property, and regulatory sectors. We have proven products and a long history of success—now, we are looking for a high-initiative Business Development Manager to lead our next phase of growth. This is a leadership-level role where you will establish our sales department from the ground up. We offer a small base salary paired with higher-than-industry-standard commissions to ensure your success is directly reflected in your earnings. Primary Responsibilities Identify and pursue new customer opportunities in sectors like environmental consulting, engineering, lending, and real estate. Build and maintain a pipeline of prospects through consistent outreach and relationship management. Work directly with leadership to determine which market segments and service lines deserve the most focus. Coordinate with internal staff to ensure new work is profitable and professionally delivered.Qualifications Location:
Must reside in Central Texas (Austin area strongly preferred) for occasional in-person meetings, strategy sessions, and client visits. The "Drive"Factor:
No specific degree is required. We prioritize candidates with real sales instincts, strong judgment, and the ability to work without micromanagement.Communication:
Exceptional follow-up skills and the ability to learn technical/regulatory service lines quickly.Experience:
Prior B2B sales experience in real estate, oil and gas, or professional services is a plus but not required for a candidate with clear drive. Compensation & Perks Base salary with a generous, uncapped commission structure tied to revenue growth. Higher base compensation or signing bonuses may be negotiable for candidates with proven experience or existing industry relationships. Potential for long-term equity opportunities based on exceptional performance.Pay:
