The District Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple Sharp Shopper store locations for the purpose of fulfilling the company's mission of providing quality products at low prices while maintaining excellent customer service in a friendly, clean and safe work environment. These functions include but are not limited to overseeing store managers; management level hiring, supervision, coaching and discipline while implementing and maintaining company policies and procedures. The District Manager ensures store level training meets current regulations and ensures the company complies with OSHA and Department of Agriculture requirements. The District Manager oversees building related repairs, store audits, store events, and year-end inventory, The District Manager collaborates to bring in new vendors and products as well as procuring store-related supplies.
Essential Job Functions:
Supervision of all aspects of daily Sharp Shopper store operations. Communicating and implementing company policy to managers, vendors and customers. Exercise discretion and leadership in business operation. Manager supervision such as training, teaching and coaching. Show consideration for others, work under pressure accurately, quickly and creatively while following directions and maintaining confidentiality. Follow all procedures as outlined in the Sharp Shopper Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct Policy, Manager's Policy Manual and Manager on Duty Manual. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers and co-workers. Proficiency with technology including computers and cash registers. Read, speak, and write English. Regular and punctual attendance. Flexible work schedule is required. Accept change and exercise leadership in guiding employees, customers and suppliers.
Qualifications:
5+ years of store management experience required, and equivalent work experience preferred.
Machines/Tools/Equipment:
Advance computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) Timeforce, Docuware, cash register, copy machine, forklift, electric pallet jack, and pallet jack preferred.
Working Conditions:
Primarily working in a store and office environments with some time spent in a warehouse environment. Normal working hours generally during store operating hours. Travel to PA and VA Sharp Shopper locations will be required in addition to working some nights, some Saturdays and some Holidays. E very employee of Sharp Shopper is responsible for doing their part in, and may be called upon at times to do, specific duties that are not included in this job description. Pay:
$100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
