Account Manager Abbeville, SC Job Summary:
The Account Manager develops profitable customer relationships and drives sales growth by partnering with customers, Manufacturer's Representatives, and internal teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences, identify new business opportunities, and support the company's strategic growth objectives.Responsibilities:
Customer Relationship Management- Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned customers by serving as their primary commercial contact.
- Conduct regular business reviews to understand customer needs, identify opportunities, and strengthen long-term partnerships.
- Proactively gauge customer satisfaction through scheduled follow-up conversations, surveys, and feedback activities to support
ISO 9001
customer satisfaction requirements.- Resolve customer concerns by coordinating with Customer Service, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain complete and accurate customer activity, opportunities, and communications within the CRM system. Business Development
- Develop and execute sales growth strategies in partnership with Manufacturer's Representatives.
- Partner closely with Manufacturer's Representatives to expand customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, coordinate customer visits, and increase market presence.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts through prospecting, networking, referrals, and market research.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing within established guidelines, and convert opportunities into profitable sales.
- Support product launches and new customer onboarding activities. Sales Activity & Planning
- Maintain a consistent cadence of proactive customer outreach, quotation activity, and Manufacturer Representative engagement to support business development objectives.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline through consistent prospecting and customer follow-up.
- Utilize CRM tools to document activities, opportunities, customer feedback, and follow-up actions.
- Monitor sales performance against established goals and adjust activities as needed to achieve objectives.
- Develop sales forecasts and account plans to support business planning.
- Monitor customer forecasts, inventory requirements, and market trends.
- Identify competitive activity, customer challenges, and emerging market opportunities.
- Provide recommendations to leadership regarding pricing, product opportunities, and strategic initiatives. Strategic Collaboration
- Partner with Customer Service, Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Communicate customer requirements, risks, and opportunities across the organization.
- Represent the company at customer visits, trade shows, industry events, and Manufacturer Representative meetings.
- Promote continuous improvement by sharing customer feedback and market feedback to support continuous improvement, product development, and strategic business decisions.
