Job Description
Regional Sales Manager - Food A leading food manufacturer is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive sales growth, expand customer relationships, and develop new business opportunities across a designated territory. This individual will be responsible for managing strategic accounts, leading commercial negotiations, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver profitable growth across the food industry. Responsibilities Manage a designated territory to achieve sales, volume, margin, and profitability objectives. Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing customer relationships. Create and execute strategic account plans that support customer growth initiatives and long-term profitability goals. Lead pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and commercial agreements Build relationships across multiple customer functions, including procurement, operations, quality, R&D, and executive leadership. Monitor market trends and customer needs to identify growth opportunities Manage broker, distributor, and direct account relationships to accelerate market penetration and revenue growth. Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline visibility, CRM activity, and business reporting. Represent the organization at customer meetings, industry events, and trade associations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. 5+ years of experience in food ingredients, food manufacturing, specialty ingredients, or related commercial sales environments. Proven track record of identifying and developing new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and strategic outreach. Experience managing key customer accounts and developing long-term commercial partnerships. Broker and channel partner management experience required. Strong negotiation, contract management, and business development capabilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; CRM experience preferred.
