This position will lead regional sales activities for HL Mando automotive aftermarket products, focusing on traditional warehouse distributors, retailers, buying groups, e-commerce customers, and professional installer networks. The Regional Sales Manager will develop new business, grow existing accounts, improve product-line penetration, and execute the company's regional go-to-market strategy. The successful candidate will combine strong automotive aftermarket knowledge with disciplined account management, field execution, and data-driven sales planning. Key Responsibilities Regional Sales Strategy and Growth Develop and execute an annual regional sales plan aligned with company revenue, margin, and market-share objectives. Identify high-potential customers, product categories, applications, and geographic markets. Build a qualified new-business pipeline and convert targeted prospects into active customers. Increase sales penetration across existing accounts through new product-line placements, expanded SKU coverage, and additional customer locations. Establish regional pricing, promotional, and account-development plans in collaboration with senior management. Monitor competitive activity, market trends, vehicle population, and customer purchasing behavior. Customer and Account Management Manage relationships with warehouse distributors, retailers, buying groups, e-commerce customers, fleets, jobbers, and installer networks. Develop strategic account plans for major regional customers. Conduct regular customer visits, business reviews, product presentations, and sales meetings. Build strong relationships with customer executives, category managers, purchasing teams, sales representatives, and branch managers. Negotiate pricing, programs, promotions, stocking requirements, and commercial terms within approved guidelines. Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer pipelines, opportunity updates, and account activity records. Address customer concerns promptly and coordinate internal resources to ensure timely resolution. Distribution and Market Development Expand regional distribution coverage by identifying underserved markets and qualified channel partners. Improve product availability, fill rates, and speed to market through close coordination with customers and internal operations. Support customer inventory planning, stocking recommendations, new-store openings, and product-line conversions. Partner with distributor sales teams to increase branch-level and installer-level demand. Conduct joint sales calls, sales blitzes, installer visits, trade events, and product training programs. Develop regional installer engagement programs that strengthen product awareness, trial, and repeat purchases. Product and Category Development Promote the company's automotive aftermarket portfolio, including suspension, steering, brake, electrical, HVAC, engine-management, and maintenance products. Identify assortment gaps, new application opportunities, and customer-specific product requirements. Work with Product Management to prioritize new part numbers and improve application coverage. Provide market feedback regarding pricing, quality, packaging, catalog data, warranty, and competitive positioning. Support new-product launches, line reviews, customer presentations, and product-change communications. Ensure customers understand HL Mando's OE heritage, product quality, technical advantages, and overall value proposition. Sales Performance and Profitability Achieve assigned regional revenue, gross-margin, new-business, and product-placement targets. Manage pricing and promotional programs while protecting profitability. Monitor customer sales performance, product mix, returns, deductions, warranty claims, and overdue accounts. Prepare monthly sales reports, forecasts, opportunity reviews, and corrective-action plans. Analyze sales data by customer, product category, SKU, geography, and channel. Recommend actions to improve customer profitability, inventory productivity, and regional market share. Cross-Functional Collaboration Coordinate with Product Management, Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance, Quality, and Executive Management. Communicate customer forecasts, inventory requirements, promotional plans, and potential supply risks. Support demand planning and inventory allocation for key accounts. Collaborate with Marketing on regional campaigns, trade shows, customer materials, and installer programs. Work with Quality and Customer Service to resolve claims, returns, warranty issues, and product concerns. Ensure customer commitments are clearly documented and communicated internally. Performance Indicators Performance will be evaluated using metrics including: Regional sales growth Gross margin and account profitability New-customer acquisition New product-line and SKU placements Customer retention and account penetration Sales pipeline value and conversion rate Forecast accuracy Product availability and customer service performance Installer and field-sales activation Accounts-receivable performance Customer satisfaction Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Automotive Technology, Supply Chain, or a related field. Five or more years of sales or account-management experience in the automotive aftermarket. Demonstrated experience working with warehouse distributors, retailers, buying groups, jobbers, installers, fleets, or e-commerce customers. Proven record of achieving sales-growth and profitability objectives. Strong understanding of automotive aftermarket distribution channels and customer decision-making processes. Experience with pricing, sales forecasting, account planning, and contract negotiations. Strong analytical, presentation, communication, and relationship-management skills. Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and sales-reporting tools. Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned region. Preferred Seven to ten years of automotive aftermarket sales experience. Existing relationships with regional or national automotive aftermarket customers. Experience selling chassis, suspension, steering, brake, electrical, HVAC, or engine-management products. Familiarity with ACES and PIES catalog standards. Experience launching new product lines or developing an underpenetrated sales territory. Knowledge of vehicle-in-operation data, application coverage, competitive pricing, and category-management practices. Experience managing independent manufacturer representatives or regional field-sales teams. Bilingual ability in English and Spanish or Korean is an advantage.
