Sales Manager Akadia Event Center Missouri City, TX Job Details Full-time $51,819.34 - $62,406.09 a year 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Flexible schedule Qualifications Bilingual Team development Hiring Sales conversion rate (success metric) Sales strategy Full Job Description Position Overview The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue and bookings for Akadia Event Center by managing the complete sales process from generating and responding to leads to conducting tours, preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong client relationships through booking. The ideal candidate is an energetic, personable, highly organized sales professional who understands the Houston wedding and events market and is comfortable working toward sales goals in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Manage incoming leads through phone, email, social media, website inquiries, bridal expos, referrals, and other marketing channels. Respond to prospective clients promptly and professionally. Conduct in-person and virtual venue tours. Identify client needs, event vision, budget, guest count, date, and preferred services. Prepare customized proposals, pricing information, and contracts. Follow up consistently with leads and prospective clients to convert inquiries into bookings. Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and accurately track lead status and follow-up activity. Meet or exceed monthly and annual booking and revenue goals. Develop strategies to increase bookings during slower seasons and maximize high-demand dates. Build relationships with wedding planners, coordinators, photographers, caterers, florists, DJs, bridal professionals, corporate partners, and other industry professionals. Participate in bridal shows, networking events, open houses, venue showcases, and other promotional events. Client Relationship Management Serve as the primary sales contact for clients from initial inquiry through contract signing and transition to the event planning team. Build trust and maintain strong relationships with prospective and booked clients. Communicate venue policies, pricing, packages, preferred vendors, payment schedules, and contractual requirements clearly. Address questions and concerns professionally and promptly. Ensure clients have a clear understanding of what is included with their venue rental. Maintain detailed and accurate client records in the venue's CRM system. Sales Administration Prepare and send proposals, estimates, contracts, invoices, and other sales documents. Track deposits, payments, signed contracts, and outstanding items in coordination with management and accounting. Maintain accurate sales reports and forecasts. Monitor sales performance, conversion rates, lead sources, and booking trends. Provide regular sales updates and recommendations to management. Ensure all contracts and client information are complete and accurate before transitioning clients to the event coordination team. Marketing & Brand Support Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotions and campaigns that support booking goals. Provide feedback on lead quality, client preferences, pricing, and market trends. Assist with social media content, venue showcases, open houses, and promotional events when needed. Represent Akadia Event Center professionally and consistently across all client and vendor interactions. Qualifications 2+ years of sales experience; event venue, hospitality, wedding, luxury retail, or related experience strongly preferred. Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals. Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills. Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities. Highly organized and able to manage multiple leads and clients simultaneously. Comfortable conducting venue tours and presenting pricing and packages. Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, and email communication. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with management and the events team. Professional appearance and demeanor. Knowledge of the Houston wedding and events market is a plus. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred. Preferred Skills Experience selling high-value services or packages. Experience working with wedding couples, families, planners, or corporate clients. Existing relationships within the Houston wedding and events industry. Experience with CRM and lead management systems. Strong social media and digital communication skills. Experience with event venue pricing, contracts, and vendor relationships. Schedule & Availability Because events and venue tours may take place outside of traditional business hours, the Sales Manager must have flexibility to work occasional: Bridal shows and networking events Venue open houses and special events The position may include a combination of office, venue, and remote work depending on business needs.
