Location:
This is a hybrid role with a preference for candidates based in the Houston area; however, candidates located in Texas or Florida will also be considered. This position requires the ability to travel 25%-50% to visit customers in Central and South America.
Position Summary:
The mission of the Sales Manager is to drive revenue growth and establish long-term partnerships by managing assigned client portfolios, proactively prospecting for new business, and delivering tailored chemical distribution solutions. This role serves as the primary liaison between the customer and internal teams to ensure excellent service, customer retention, and the successful execution of regional sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead sales initiatives for SolvChem's International Distribution Division to build market share, drive profits, and exceed plan goals for LATAM. Consistently deliver revenue targets and ensure company revenue goals and objectives are achieved quarter over quarter and year over year. Accurately forecast quarterly and annual revenue for the assigned division, region, or business area. Drive revenue growth, and profitability through strategic sales execution. Identify and develop key strategic accounts to support long-term growth. Development end-use market strategy within designated countries and focused on LATAM. Own supplier relationships for domestic and chemical manufacturers, distributors, and re-sellers. Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, managing day-to-day communications and ensuring overall customer satisfaction. Partner collaboratively with internal technical, operations, and customer service teams to ensure accurate product delivery and timely resolution of customer claims. Utilize inside and outside B2B sales strategies to identify and develop new business avenues within the assigned territory. Maintain a clear and continuously updated sales pipeline using CRM tools to assist with forecasting. Coordinate customer quotations, set appropriate pricing and service levels, and recommend new products. Continuously enhance foundational knowledge of chemical product lines, formulations, and industry applications. Assist in gathering market intelligence and tracking competitive movements to provide ongoing strategic insights into sales leadership. Maintain strong customer and key account relationships. Direct sales activities within assigned areas to support pipeline growth and sales cycle execution. Ensure sales efforts are aligned with customer needs, business goals, and profitability expectations. Promote customer intimacy by supporting strong account relationships and responsive customer service. Partner with internal teams to improve sales effectiveness, customer service, and execution quality. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related discipline required. Equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience may be considered. Minimum of 5-10 years of chemical distribution sales experience in LATAM. Experience selling Alcohols, Aliphatics, Amines, Aromatics, Esters, Glycols, Ketones, Plasticizers, Surfactants, etc. Fluent in speaking English and Spanish Ability to travel 25%-50% to visit customers. Proven history of overachieving team quotas and driving revenue growth required. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, required.

Understanding in import & Exports logistic operations. Understanding on How Global energy prices changes affects the trends Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required to confidently collaborate with prospects, internal technical teams, and existing clients. Proven relationship-building skills with a distinct focus on understanding client goals, managing day-to-day interactions, and securing customer retention. High degree of motivation and a competitive drive to proactively prospect for new business avenues and actively grow the size of the assigned territory. A consultative selling and problem-solving mindset with the ability to uncover specific customer needs, expertly overcome objections, and deliver tailored product solutions. Solid business and financial acumen paired with negotiation skills to successfully navigate pricing, manage service levels, and ensure mutually beneficial partnerships. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail required to simultaneously handle multiple accounts, manage contract renewals, and facilitate client deliverables efficiently. Ability to work cohesively in a fast-paced team environment while possessing the autonomy and proactive initiative needed to drive individual sales quotas. Why Should You Apply?
