Job Description
Sales Manager - Leadership Development Program Pleasant Prairie, WI | Hybrid After Training | Regional Travel Required L&M Corrugated Container is seeking a high-performing Sales Manager to join our Leadership Development Program. This role is designed for proven, top-performing B2B sales professionals who have consistently exceeded targets and are ready to develop into a future leadership role within a fast-growing organization. This position is based in Pleasant Prairie, WI at our main office. The first 6 months will focus on structured onboarding and development across all areas of the business, including sales, customer service, design, production, and pricing. During this time, the primary focus is learning the business, supporting sales activity, and building a strong foundation for future leadership responsibility. After successful completion of the development phase, the role transitions into a hybrid schedule with significant regional travel. At that stage, the individual will take on expanded responsibility supporting a single sales team of 12+ professionals located across multiple offices in Wisconsin and surrounding states, while continuing to grow into a formal Sales Manager leadership role. What You'll Do Phase 1: Learn the Business & Support Sales (First 6 Months)
- Gain deep understanding of products, manufacturing, and customer applications
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Production, and Design teams
- Learn pricing, quoting, cost structure, and margin fundamentals
- Support sales activity, forecasting, and account development efforts
- Build relationships across the organization and customer base Phase 2: Leadership Development & Team Support
- Support a distributed sales team across multiple locations
- Assist with coaching, performance tracking, and sales execution
- Participate in territory planning, pipeline development, and strategy
- Work directly with leadership on sales initiatives and growth plans
- Develop skills needed to step into a Sales Manager role What We're Looking For
- 3-5+ years of proven, quota-carrying B2B sales experience
- Consistent history of exceeding sales targets (top-performing sales professional preferred)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly self-driven with a competitive, performance-focused mindset
- Interest in long-term leadership development
- Manufacturing, packaging, or industrial sales experience preferred Why Join L&M?
