Technical Sales Manager -
Energy, Water & Sustainable Systems Location:
Office-Based (Local Candidates) / Remote (Non-Local Candidates)- Candidates residing within commuting distance of our primary office will operate on an in-office schedule when not traveling.
- Candidates living outside the local area are permitted to work remotely / work from home when not traveling.

$30.00-$50.00/hour, plus commission About the Role We're seeking a Technical Sales Manager to drive sales and customer relationships across our Energy Systems, Water Systems, and Sustainable Systems product lines. This is a customer-facing role for someone who can translate technical capabilities into business value and build lasting relationships with clients and partners. Outside of travel time, this position operates in-office for local candidates to collaborate directly with our core team, or remotely/work-from-home for candidates located outside our immediate geographic area . Key Responsibilities- Manage technical sales cycles for Energy, Water, and Sustainable Systems products, from lead qualification through close
- Travel to customer sites for on-site meetings, product demonstrations, and relationship management
- Develop and execute marketing materials and campaigns to support sales efforts (collateral, presentations, case studies)
- Lead or participate in weekly meetings with internal sales/technical teams and external vendors to align on priorities, pipeline, and product updates
- Collaborate closely with other sales team members to coordinate territory coverage, share leads, and support larger accounts
- Serve as a technical liaison between customers and engineering/product teams, translating customer needs into solution recommendations
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and forecasts (CRM)
- Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and competitor offerings in energy, water, and sustainability sectors Qualifications
- 3+ years of technical sales experience, ideally in energy, water treatment, or sustainability-related industries
- Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable speaking to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Willingness and ability to travel 20-40% of the time, primarily within California's San Joaquin Valley (company vehicle provided)
- Self-motivated and able to manage time effectively whether working remotely or in-office
- Valid driver's license and (if applicable) passport for travel
- Proficiency with CRM software and standard marketing/office tools Preferred
- Existing network or experience in energy systems, water/wastewater systems, or sustainability/green tech sectors
- Experience creating marketing content (brochures, case studies, presentations)
- Vendor management experience
