Job Description
Territory Sales Manager Position Overview The Territory Sales Manager (TM) is full-time salaried employee responsible for the cultivation and management of accounts within an assigned sales region (Southeastern coast which includes all of South Carolina, and parts of Georgia). The assigned region will be composed of one or more territories. Each territory will have defined geographic boundaries. All or most of the territory will be accessible by a few hours travel by car from a central location, however, overnight sales trips may be necessary on occasion. The TM is expected to grow the sales in his assigned territory by utilizing the provided sales and marketing materials in addition to the lead generation support from the home office in accordance with stated company goals. The TM will be further supported by the inside sales staff and work closely and report to The Director of Sales. Position Responsibilities The TM is expected to travel daily to different areas within the assigned territory, using his own transportation. The TM will plan trips to meet with distributors, contractors, roofers, architects, specifiers, HOA groups, shingle manufacturer TM's or any other group that would have an interest in the Lifetime Tool product line. The TM will perform product demonstrations, provide training to customer's staff, distribute literature and review the current pricing and shipping costs. The TM may also distribute product samples, counter mats, wall displays, etc. within the current company guidelines. The TM will record all customer contact activity, whether in person, via email or phone, using the provided Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. Additionally, the TM will participate in scheduled status calls and provide a recap of recent activity and an overview of upcoming planned activities. Finally, a TM may be asked to travel outside of his territory to represent Lifetime Tool at trade shows, CAI & AIA events, HOA & CPI meetings, or any other assignment that is of importance to Lifetime Tool. - An ability use the company provide CRM software and associated reporting tools Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in outside sales
- At least 2 years of sales experience in the roofing industry or higher-end allied building products
- Solid, continuous work history that clearly demonstrates sales responsibilities and successes Compensation and Benefits The base salary and commission plan as well as a monthly automobile allowance will be detailed in a separate employment agreement.
