The Director will develop and execute a national channel strategy aligned with business unit objectives, ensuring strong market coverage, profitable growth, and elevated partner performance. This leader will combine deep technical and commercial acumen in off-highway/mobile applications with strong business judgment, strategic planning capability, and team leadership experience.
The ideal candidate brings an entrepreneurial mindset, a customer-obsessed approach, and a proven ability to scale revenue through both direct leadership and effective channel enablement.
Key ResponsibilitiesChannel Strategy & Market GrowthDevelop and execute a comprehensive national indirect sales strategy aligned with Mobile Hydraulics growth objectivesDefine market coverage models, segmentation strategies, and channel performance expectationsIdentify new channel opportunities and optimize existing distributor networks to increase market penetrationEstablish clear revenue targets, margin expectations, and pipeline growth objectivesChannel Performance & AccountabilityLead performance management processes for distributor and partner networks, including:
Sales targets and KPIsForecasting accuracyMarket development initiativesConduct regular business reviews with key channel partners to evaluate growth, profitability, and alignmentImplement structured programs to improve partner capability, technical knowledge, and commercial effectivenessLeadership & Organizational DevelopmentLead and develop a national indirect sales team, including regional managers and channel leadersRecruit, coach, and mentor sales managers to drive accountability and performanceBuild a culture focused on results, collaboration, and continuous improvementDevelop succession planning and talent pipelines within the sales organizationStrategic Customer & Partner EngagementEstablish and maintain executive-level relationships with key distributor principals and strategic partnersServe as a senior commercial representative for Bosch Rexroth within the indirect channel ecosystemAlign distributor strategies with Bosch Rexroth product roadmaps and value propositionsRepresent the voice of the channel internally to influence portfolio strategy and service enhancementsForecasting & Cross-Functional AlignmentOwn national indirect sales forecasting, pipeline visibility, and revenue reportingCollaborate closely with marketing, product management, inside sales, and operations to align demand generation, inventory planning, and customer initiativesEnsure consistent communication between field sales, channel partners, and internal stakeholdersQualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent technical backgroundMinimum 5 years of experience leading and managing a sales team, including performance management and talent developmentMinimum 5 years of experience in independent/direct or channel sales rolesMinimum 5 years of experience within the mobile/off-highway hydraulics industry or related equipment marketsDemonstrated success developing and executing sales strategies aligned with business objectivesProven track record of delivering sustained pipeline growth and revenue performanceStrong forecasting capability and experience aligning cross-functional teams (marketing, product management, inside sales, operations)Experience managing distributor or channel partner relationshipsPreferred QualificationsExperience managing a national or multi-region distributor networkBackground in complex, engineered solution sales within OEM or industrial marketsAdditional InformationEqual Opportunity Employer, including disability / veteransBOSCH is a proud supporter of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) InitiativesFIRST Robotics (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology)AWIM (A World In Motion)
