Job Description

Position Summary The District Sales Manager / Sales Agronomist is responsible for driving sales growth, providing agronomic expertise, and developing strong customer relationships throughout the Aberdeen territory. This role works closely with growers to deliver seed, crop protection, fertilizer, and agronomic solutions while supporting company goals and promoting customer success. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with growers, retailers, and key accounts. Promote and sell seed, crop protection products, fertilizer, and agronomic services. Provide agronomic recommendations based on field scouting, crop staging, and customer needs. Achieve sales goals and grow market share within the assigned territory. Identify and pursue new business opportunities. Conduct field visits and assist customers throughout the growing season. Collaborate with location managers and sales teams to support customer needs and business objectives. Assist with plot programs, field days, grower meetings, and educational events. Stay current on industry trends, agronomic practices, and competitive products. Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and customer information. Qualifications Degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Business, or related field preferred. Agronomy sales experience preferred. Strong knowledge of seed, fertilizer, crop protection products, and crop production practices. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Office and customer management software. Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the territory.
