Job Description
Executive Vice President
- Business Development Rapid City Rush Position Overview The Executive Vice President
- Business Development is a senior leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, enhancing fan and partner experiences, and overseeing key business operations for the Rapid City Rush.
- Lead all new business development efforts, including but not limited to corporate partnerships, community partnerships and revenue generating strategies
- Manage renewal strategies for existing partners to ensure strong retention and long-term relationships.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline while meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
- Represent the Rapid City Rush in the community to cultivate new business opportunities. Event Planning & Execution
- Plan, organize, and execute 5th Line events
- Plan and execute corporate parties, sponsor events, and private hospitality functions.
- Coordinate logistics, staffing, and timelines to ensure events are executed smoothly. Giveaways & Promotions
- Work with graphic and marketing teams to ensure branding and timelines are aligned.
- Manage inventory, delivery schedules, and quality control for promotional items. Game Day Operations & Leadership
- Manage the business side of the floor on game days.
- Assist and support game day staff to ensure smooth execution and fan satisfaction.
- Oversee game operations and in-arena execution. Staff Oversight & Collaboration
- This role has direct oversight of Partner Fulfillment, Game Operations, Graphic Design, Social Media, Community Relations and Broadcasting staff.
- This role will work closely with VP of Sales and collaborate on ticketing initiatives to drive revenue
- This role will work closely with our ad agency to ensure proper placement and maximize ROAS
- Provide leadership and accountability across all departments. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in sports business, sales, sponsorship, or event management.
- Proven success in new business sales and renewals.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays during the season.
