In this pivotal role, you will develop strategic sales plans, foster strong customer relationships, and oversee daily store operations to ensure exceptional service and operational excellence. Your leadership will inspire your team to achieve sales targets, enhance customer satisfaction, and uphold the company's standards of retail management. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional passionate about retail sales, team management, and delivering outstanding customer experiences. Duties Lead and motivate a diverse sales team through effective training, coaching, and performance management to meet or exceed sales goals. Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company objectives to increase revenue and market share. Oversee daily store operations including inventory management, merchandising, pricing, and stock replenishment to ensure optimal store presentation. Manage all aspects of customer service, ensuring staff deliver exceptional service that fosters customer loyalty and satisfaction. Conduct interviews, participate in recruiting efforts, and onboard new employees while ensuring compliance with company policies on employee orientation. Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) systems management, and cashiering duties accurately. Supervise inventory control procedures, purchasing decisions, and store merchandising to maximize profitability while maintaining organized stock levels. Oversee shift management, scheduling, and employee supervision to ensure smooth store operations across all hours of operation. Implement marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to attract new customers and retain existing clientele. Monitor retail math metrics such as sales per square foot, gross profit margins, and inventory turnover to inform strategic decisions. Ensure compliance with safety standards, phone etiquette protocols, and organizational policies while fostering a positive work environment. Experience Proven experience in retail management or sales leadership roles with a strong background in supervising teams within a grocery store or similar retail environment. Demonstrated success in managing store operations including inventory control, merchandising, pricing strategies, and budgeting. Extensive knowledge of retail math calculations such as profit margins, pricing strategies, and sales analysis. Strong skills in negotiation, communication, leadership development, training & development programs, and employee orientation. Experience with recruiting processes including interviewing candidates for assistant manager or supervisory roles. Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, payroll administration, bookkeeping practices, and inventory management tools. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to connect with diverse customer bases effectively.
