The New Business Development Manager position is dedicated to develop strategic business growth in the assigned market space leveraging existing and new innovative products with a primary focus on Recreation Vehicles, Energy Infrastructure, and Rigid Components. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic market growth plan and acting as the key subject matter expert for LyondellBasell across business segments.
A Day in the Life
- Develop a strategic growth roadmap for market space including identification of new applications, material gap needs, new customers and OEM's, and competition in market.
- Works with Sales, Marketing, Technical teams on buy-in and execution of growth roadmap.
- Develops and maintains relationships with key decision makers at customers
- Utilizes tools such as Salesforce, Accolade to drive pipeline of opportunities and developments through stage gate process with a cross functional team
- Develop, implement and maintain a key account plan for top customers and targets
- Lead project teams in new material developments including Sustainability initiatives
- Translate across OEM's/Tier molders successes in marketplaceYou Bring This Value
- Bachelor's Degree Scientific, Technical or Business field is preferred or 5+ years' experience in related field.
Experience Requirements:
- 5 years or more of relevant professional experience in commercial or technical role with familiarity with consumer marketspace in B-B sales.
- Industrial Business Development, sales or technical experience preferably with Polypropylene com-pounds
- Travel- up to 60%
- Project Management experience in related field
- Technical expertise with polymers preferred for application performance and material specifications
- Strong communication skills
- Capability to manage across a matrix organization including with global teams and business partners.
